In order to be considered for this award, the dog must be owned by an FBDCA member(s) in good standing. The award will be presented to the French Bulldog who has the highest average score at the combined Advanced/Excellent level, i.e. RAE qualifying legs, in AKC Rally competition.
The qualifying period is July 1 – June 30 of the preceding year. Applicants must submit aminimum of 3 double-qualifying scores (therefore 6 total, three from the Advanced class and three from Excellent, with one of each being earned on the same competition day for an RAE leg). These scores must be from at least two different judges, and will be verified through AKC.org.
In the unlikely event of a tie, the dog with more Double-Qualifying scores (RAE legs) will be considered the winner. In the event that no eligible French Bulldogs earn 3 RAE legs, 3 scores from the Excellent level will be accepted for consideration for the award.
The dog with the highest average score will be named Outstanding Rally dog of the year at the FBDCA Awards Banquet, held at the National Specialty each year.
