A gala opening reception for the first-ever of its kind special exhibition, Send In The Clowns, featuring artwork on the fabulous French Bulldog was held at the on February 18, 2012 through May 13, 2012. Dog Museum Board member Suzanne Orban-Stagle Readmond convinced the museum to mount this special event, and French Bulldog art aficionado Gary Bachman spent months acquiring objects for the exhibition and working hard to organize and curate it, with assistance from Camille Stillitano. The following individuals generously lent works of art for the French Bulldog exhibit: Gary Bachman, Mike and Brenda Buckles, James Dalton, Jim and Jan Grebe, Roxanne Hilsman, Carolyn Stuart King, Muriel Lee, Abiy Assefa, Michelle and William Marhoefer, Suzanne Orban- Stagle Readmond, Patricia Hearst Shaw, Luis and Patricia Sosa, and Camille Stillitano.
